What headsets do you all use for gaming and how do you like them?
I'm thinking it's time to get a new set.
I'm currently using: Logitech 980231-0403 Gold Plated Audio Connectors Circumaural Precision PC Gaming Headset
Pro's: Easy to use, 3.5mm connectors, good for gaming sessions lasting 1-2 hours, sound good and mic good. Lightweight.
Cons: After about 2 hours gets uncomftorable on the ears. Also, the headset goes behind your head so you can't lean back in your chair without taking them off or having them shoved into your neck.
For my backup headset I also currently have this:
eDimensional AudioFX Pro 5+1 USB Circumaural Force Feedback Gaming Headset
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826504004
Pro's: Sound quality can't be touched for a headset that includes a mic. Over the head so you can lean back in chair, very comftorable, can be worn for hours. Force feedback is neat because you can actually feel the explosions in the game. Strong, heavy design not likely to be broken easily.
Con's: They are USB which doesn't agree with my setup in the least.
If I connect these to my compture my speakers quit working. The only way to fix this is to unplug the headsets and reboot the pc.
Needless to say that can get annoying quick. Long gaming sessions it's ok but not good for pick-up games.
I'm looking at these:
Creative FATAL1TY 3.5mm gold-plated Circumaural Gaming Headset
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158051
Just curious what everyone else is using. I'm done with the headsets that go behind your head and I'm done with USB.
