Is Hollywood trying to destroy your childhood? They have made movies about Mario, Doom, Transformers, Ghost Busters and G.I. Joes but if that wasn't enough for you to answer that question with a "yes", check this out.
Hasbro's Brian Goldner had a conversation about movie adaptations. On the list of games in discussion to be turned into movies: Monopoly, Battleship, Candy Land, Stretch Armstrong, and more
The main focus of his interview was on Monopoly. Appearently Ridley Scott is wanting to direct it.
Though there hasn't been any pre-production done on Monopoly, Strech Armstrong is a different story. It already has a release date of April 15, 2011.
